DESCRIPTION:It is with great pleasure that we announce Dr. Beena Sukumaran as the recipient of the MEANA Engineer of the Year Award 2026. \nDr. Beena Sukumaran is the Dinesh & Ila Paliwal Dean of the College of Engineering and Computing at Miami University and an accomplished civil engineer\, educator\, researcher\, and academic leader. She holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and has made outstanding contributions to engineering education\, research\, leadership\, and the advancement of the engineering profession. She is also a proud alumna of the College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET). \nOn behalf of MEANA\, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Beena on this prestigious and well-deserved recognition.
