The Malayalee Engineers Association in North America (MEANA) was formally established in 1992 by a group of visionary Malayalee engineers in the Chicago area. Since its inception, MEANA has grown into a vibrant professional and cultural organization dedicated to connecting Malayalee engineers across North America.
MEANA’s primary mission is to bring Malayalee engineers under one unified platform to foster professional growth, collaboration, and cultural engagement. The association actively promotes knowledge sharing and career development through technical meetings, networking events, mentoring opportunities, and industry interactions.
In addition to its professional focus, MEANA is deeply committed to giving back to the community. The organization supports initiatives that benefit Kerala, including technology transfer programs, engineering project support, and scholarship programs aimed at encouraging and empowering the next generation of engineers.
MEANA also serves as a bridge between cultures, celebrating the rich heritage of Kerala while building meaningful connections within the broader North American community. Through its diverse activities, MEANA continues to inspire leadership, innovation, and service among its members.
