It is with great pleasure that we announce Dr. Beena Sukumaran as the recipient of the MEANA Engineer of the Year Award 2026.

Dr. Beena Sukumaran is the Dinesh & Ila Paliwal Dean of the College of Engineering and Computing at Miami University and an accomplished civil engineer, educator, researcher, and academic leader. She holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and has made outstanding contributions to engineering education, research, leadership, and the advancement of the engineering profession. She is also a proud alumna of the College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET).

On behalf of MEANA, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Beena on this prestigious and well-deserved recognition. We look forward to honoring and celebrating her achievement at the MEANA Annual Banquet on November 7, 2026.
